I can’t figure out how to post pictures

April 12, 2007 | Uncategorized

without them taking over my entire blog and threatening to break out from your monitor and choke you with Jojo cuteness.

Perhaps this evening…after we put the whining infant to bed (ear infection #2, thankyouNOTverymuch), after we watch the Tivo’d Lost, but before I fall into a heaping, snoring sack of stuffed nasal passages & sore throatedness on our suddenly very lumpy bed, I can attempt proper WordPress photo inclusion!

In the meantime, I feel it might be time for another Exercise in Quadrancy (fake copyrighted to me):

1. SNL’s Chronicles of Narnia or Let’s Get Some Shoes?
2. Oprah or Ellen?

Please let me know your preference (& degree of preference) for both questions!!

  1. Oh. My. Gott!!!! I LOVE me some SHOES!!!!!!
I laughed so hard I snorted, and then forwarded it to my boyfriend, who has accused me of “HAVING TOO MANY SHOES!” I don’t think that is possible.

  2. the chronic-WHAT-les of Narnia! I haven’t seen the other because my hip friend didn’t send it to me :) Ellen. To the max. But I also like Ope a lot, too. but not as much as ellen, who has more fun than anyone. today’s google quote on my desktop is from ellen: “I gotta work out. I keep saying it all the time. I keep saying I gotta start working out. It’s been about two months since I’ve worked out. And I just don’t have the time. Which uh..is odd. Because I have the time to go out to dinner. And uh..and watch tv. And get a bone density test. And uh.. try to figure out what my phone number spells in words.”

  3. Oooohhh…hard ones, both. I hadn’t seen the C.o.N. before, so I’d go with that. Ellen for sure – just for the dancing. But I *like* both Oprah and Shoes, so….hard one.

  4. Red vines plus Mr. Pipp equals CRAZY DELICIOUS, dude.

I hadn’t seen the shoes one before. I only made it through the fist few minutes. And then my baby started freaking out because of all the bright lights and f-words. Dude, it was a little intense.

    And Ellen.

Oprah…gag me. (Unless Matt Damon is on. Then I’ll TiVo it.)

Good luck with the pics. I need my Jojo fix. Stat.

  5. DANG. I leave town, and look what happens! Love the new digs. Sorry about the sick JoJo and the daycare crisis, since averted. As to the quadrant query: 60/40 on the shorts, advantage C of N; and 80/20 for Ellen over Ms. O. Unless it’s Maya Rudolph’s impression, in which case, game over, we have a winner.

Also, in my quest for a semi-replacement for KofP, I’ve been enjoying Andy Barker, P.I.. And HOLY SHIT, Lost was awesome this week …

  6. The narnia clip wouldn’t play for me…darn puter’, but the Shoes was pretty funny, so I’ll go with that…and definitely Ellen over Oprah..Ellen makes me laugh even when I don’t want to.

  7. Narnia and Ellen.

  8. I’m going to email you the picture “trick” that Karen (the wonderful Karen) told me.

  9. I can’t view the Narnia one either so I’m going with shoes. Plus I love shoes. I like both Ellen and Oprah. I like Ellen for her funny stuff and celebrity guests/silly contests. I like Oprah when she discuss “real people” issues. If I could only watch one I’d pick Ellen.

And I’m sorry about the ear infection but the good thing is that means drugs and a happier Jojo! And a happier Jojo = a happier Mrs. Squirrel no?

  10. Ooooh! Oooh! Quadrant!

I have to go with Narnia, but that one’s close. Ellen is wonderful and hysterical and lovely, Oprah is a self-inflated hooker who keeps her audience through subliminal messaging and the hopes that they’ll all get a free car if they flatter her enough. Oh, and the “vajayjay” thing just cements the contest — if you’re going to cover medical issues on your show, you should come up with a term that doesn’t sound like a 6-year-old’s nickname for your body parts.

Watching Oprah is like watching 7th Heaven for me… I watch from time to time just so I can yell at the TV. It’s like therapy.

  11. ohhhhh man, that shoes thing made me laugh out loud. reminiscent of some ridiculous kids in the hall material. good times.
Narnia makes me laugh too, so i’m probably 70% Shoes, and 85% Ellen (i never watch either, but if i chose one to tivo it would be ellen)

did you go to see RENT?

  12. Because my crappy network at work isn’t letting me view either video, I am going to go out on a blind limb and say the shoe one…

As far as Oprah/Ellen, Ellen all the way! She is funny, likes to dance, and has music in her show. Love it.

  13. Well: Chopping Broccoli is my preferred. Or the ‘Donald Trump’s House of Wings’ for a very close second (with the Horatio-as-David-Crosby bit, makes me pee every time!).

    But of the two? Shoes.

And Ellen, all the way. However, I give props to Oprah for getting so many people to read at least one book a month. And, for the most part, GOOD books. Lit-er-a-chur. Go O!

  14. 1) Let’s get some shoes, betch (Love the Mom – “Whore!”)

    2) Ellen – effing can’t stand Oprah

  15. Ok, since I’m at work I cannot watch those videos just yet, so don’t start the “quadrancy” without me. I can tell you I loves Ellen. I do kind of like Oprah, but less and less each time I see it.

  16. Is it to late to join in the Quadrancy?

    1) Narnia. The shoe video makes me all jeebie for some reason.

    2) Can I please be entirely on the outside of the quadrant for this question? I dislike all talk shows equally. Really. Wierd VH1 reality shows on the other hand, especially Celebreality and My Super Sweet 16, they’re like crack for me.

  17. Ok, I have tried and could not get the Narnia video to work, but I watched the Shoes one so I am going with that one. I mean, seriously, who doesn’t like shoes!!!

  18. Narnia. And Oprah over Ellen, but I still really like Ellen.

  19. How is it that you always ask these questions when I’m busy and haven’t had time to catch up on my blogs. Every single time I tell ya.
Anywho….I have no clue what you are talking about with number 1. Yup, I’m dead.
Number 2? Wow. While I don’t ever watch either b/c I’m at work, I love them both. Actually, let me clarify. I like Oprah. I do. She inspires me. I think she’s an amazing woman. I love her for those reasons.
I also looooove Ellen though. She makes me laugh. Like, laugh out loud, snort, snort laugh. And that is the BEST feeling. I love her for that reason alone. If I had to pick one show, and only one show to watch for the rest of my life…Oprah or Ellen? I would pick Ellen.

  20. [...] this? OH I know. Way too long ago. I’m [...]
