The Guest Wore Black

October 25, 2009 | a girl's gotta shop

0011.JPG I did end up wearing the black flowy dress from The Limited.

I found some ridiculously uncomfortable heels at DSW for $38 (I’m sure they just need to be broken in or thrown under a passing bus) and this sweet Target necklace for $20.

Not only is the dress borrowed, I also checked out a black shawl from my sister-in-law’s closet. And I didn’t return it!

Suckah! I mean, sorry E…I’ll mail it to you.

Thank you for all the advice on dress and accessories.

Too bad I didn’t have time beforehand to color my hair — what is WITH that reverse skunk stripe in front? SEEEERIOUSLY hair. Work with me.

  1. Beautiful picture, but we need a close-up!

  2. I think you look FABULOUS. And happy. Always a good combination.

  3. You look darling lady!

  4. Beeeeeutiful!! How was the wedding??

  5. You look great! I think the dress worked out really well. Too bad about the shoes, though. I think I have deformed feet, heels never feel even “okay” on me.

  6. Woo! Hott stuff you are!

  7. You look beautiful dear! Hope it was a fun time!

  8. Am reading your past posts. I think you picked the best dress. (And holy hell. Those Target dresses in size 6 were big in the chest and yet you have d cups? Wow. (I haven’t had to buy a dress in a long time.) There’s no way I’d be able to fill out one of those dresses (the top half anyway.) Maybe if I added about 6 pairs of tube socks or something…

  9. holy crap…you’re hott!

  10. I love the artistic cropping in that photo, way to obey the rule of thirds. And whatever, you totally rock the reverse skunk stripe. You look mighty fine.

  11. And a girl’s gotta blog! Come on!?! Are you better yet?

  12. Even I updated my blog finally after 2 months, are you in hiding? Swine flu? Hubby whisked you away to Europe after being entranced by your sexiness in the dress?
